The results of the annual contest ‘Coolest Things Made in NC’ was revealed last week. This year, the winners are a Compact Track Loader and an all-in-one beach umbrella. This year marks the third time the annual contest is held. The contest is a competitive one, during which A total of 46,000 votes were cast and three rounds of voting were held.
As the winner in the category of medium-to-large business, Construction machinery and equipment manufacturer Caterpillar’s Cat 299D3 XE Compact Track Loader is made in Sanford. In the medium-to-large Business category, ranking from second place to fifth are HondaJet Elite S (Greensboro), Wolfspeed Silicon Carbide (Durham), Cook Medical Hemospray (Winston-Salem), and Wieland Copper Products Finned Tubes (Pine Hall). The beachBub All-In-One Umbrella System, the winner among small businesses, is made in Greensboro. Within the same category of small business, ranking from second place to fifth are CrabPot Christmas Trees by Fisherman Creations (Smyrna), George’s BBQ Sauce (Nashville), SOLOCART (Holly Springs), and Artisan Leaf Tables and Bartops (Wilson).
