This summer, Wake Tech is providing a unique opportunity for middle and high school students to delve into automotive repair through its Campus Automotive Repair & Service (CARS) Summer Academy. Hosted at the Hendrick Automotive Center, the program offers practical, hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, including hybrid and electric vehicles. This inaugural camp aims to inspire students to pursue careers in the automotive industry, addressing the growing demand for skilled workers.

Participants, such as high school student Hector Serrano, are excited to expand their automotive knowledge and connect with peers who share their interests. The academy not only teaches technical skills but also empowers students to maintain their vehicles safely. With another session planned in July, Wake Tech continues to support the aspirations of young automotive enthusiasts in Western North Carolina.
