The Pitt County Girls Softball Little League team is set to represent North Carolina once again at the Little League Softball World Series, starting August 4 in Greenville. After a dominant 15-0 victory over Johnston County Little League in the state championship, the team aims to improve on their runner-up finish last year. This year’s tournament features expanded participation, including international teams, with Pitt County competing in the Purple Bracket against the Asia-Pacific Region in their first game.
This event marks the 50th Anniversary of the Little League Softball World Series and celebrates the achievements of girls in the program. Adding to the excitement, Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball will return to Greenville for the 2024 AU Pro Games. Fans can enjoy the games with free admission and parking, making it a must-visit event for the community.
