Lenoir is gearing up for a weekend of Juneteenth celebrations to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. The festivities kick off this Saturday with a Juneteenth Celebration event, offering a range of activities for all ages. The event aims to honor African American culture and history with music, food, and community spirit.

Additionally, on Juneteenth itself, a free concert featuring the renowned Toni Carlton will take place. This event provides an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate freedom through music and unity. Both events promise to be highlights of the weekend, bringing residents together in a celebration of heritage and progress.
