Johnson & Johnson is set to invest $2 billion in a new biologics manufacturing facility in Wilson, North Carolina, further boosting the state’s already thriving pharmaceutical sector. The plant will support the company’s oncology, immunology, and neuroscience pipelines, contributing to the production of 70 new therapies by 2030. Construction is expected to begin next year, with the facility creating 420 full-time jobs once operational.

In addition to state and local incentives exceeding $65 million, the project reinforces North Carolina’s position as a leading hub for biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The region, home to 108 pharmaceutical sites, continues to attract substantial investments from major companies, including Novo Nordisk and Kyowa Kirin.
