Carolina Stampede Brought Music and Family Fun to Williamston

This image showcases a vibrant community event taking place at sunset. People of all ages are gathered in a park, enjoying an evening outdoors. The warm glow of the setting sun, coupled with the artificial lights, creates a festive atmosphere. Families and friends are seated on the grass, chatting, and relaxing, embodying the spirit of togetherness and community.

Downtown Williamston came alive this weekend as the Carolina Stampede celebrated more than 30 years of tradition and the agricultural and equestrian heritage of Martin County.

The free, family-friendly festival featured live music across multiple stages, with performances spanning beach music, bluegrass, gospel, Motown, country, rock, Latin and Mexican folk music. Friday night’s kickoff launched the weekend with high-energy performances on the Main Stage.

Saturday offered a full day of entertainment, beginning with the Carolina Stampede Princess Pageant on the Community Stage. From noon into the evening, visitors enjoyed live performances, games, prizes and plenty of family-friendly activities throughout downtown.

Food was another major attraction, with Southern favorites, barbecue, fair foods, sweet treats, food trucks and concession vendors available throughout the festival. Arts and crafts, carnival attractions, face painting and other activities added to the weekend’s fun.

The festival wrapped up Saturday night with a grand musical finale, bringing the community together to celebrate the culture, hospitality and diversity of eastern North Carolina. The Carolina Stampede once again offered visitors a chance to enjoy great music, local traditions and a welcoming small-town atmosphere.
